About Rangers Australia

Sixty years of shaping young lives

Since 1964, Rangers Australia has mentored generations of young Australians — building Christlike character, outdoor skills and servant leadership that lasts a lifetime.

Who We Are

Our mission, our heart

Rangers Australia Incorporated is the national body for Royal Rangers in Australia — a church-based, Christ-centred mentoring ministry for young people aged 5 to 17.

Our mission is simple to say and lifelong to live: to evangelise, equip and empower the next generation of Christlike men and women, and lifelong servant leaders. We do it through small groups called outposts, led by trained, screened volunteer leaders in local churches across the country.

Everything a Ranger does — earning a badge, paddling a canoe, leading a patrol, praying with a mate — is designed to grow them spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.

Governance & Safety

Registered, accountable, child-safe

Parents trust us with their kids. We take that trust seriously — in our governance, our finances and our child-safe practices.

ACNC Registered

Rangers Australia Incorporated is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, ABN 15 500 198 490, operating in Queensland and serving all of Australia.

Child-Safe Leaders

Every Ranger leader is screened and trained. We follow child-safe policies consistent with Australian standards, including Working with Children checks in every state and territory.

Transparent Reporting

We submit Annual Information Statements to the ACNC and our finances are overseen by a national leadership team accountable to our member outposts.

What We Value

The four gold points

The Royal Rangers emblem carries four gold points — the four ways every Ranger grows. Everything we programme aims at these.

Spiritually

Growing a living faith in Jesus through Bible study, prayer, worship and the example of godly leaders.

Mentally

Stretching young minds through merit badges, problem-solving, and skills from first aid to navigation.

Physically

Building healthy, active bodies through camping, hiking, canoeing, sport and outdoor adventure.

Socially

Learning friendship, teamwork and leadership in small patrols where every young person belongs.
